International Women's Media Foundation
The International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF), which is celebrating
its 15th Anniversary Year in 2005, is a network of thousands of journalists—women
and men—working internationally to elevate the status of women in the
media, based on the belief that “no press is truly free unless women
share an equal voice.” The IWMF has developed groundbreaking programs
in the U.S., Africa and other regions that help women develop practical
solutions to the obstacles that they face in their careers and their
lives. The IWMF is widely recognized as a premier organization for
international women journalists.
Search for Common Ground
Search for Common Ground's (SFCG) mission is to transform how individuals,
organisations and governments deal with conflict - away from adversarial
approaches and toward cooperative solutions. With headquarters in Washington,
DC USA and Brussels, Belgium, we design and implement multifaceted
programmes that aim to resolve conflict and prevent violence. We seek
to help conflicting parties to understand their differences and act
on their commonalities.
