Resident Advisor Positions - Open Call for Candidates

Background:
Internews® Network is an international media development organization based in Arcata, CA and Washington, DC whose mission is to empower local media worldwide to give people the news and information they need, the ability to connect, and the means to make their voices heard.
General Function:
Internews is seeking candidates for Resident Advisors (both long and short term) for potential media development programs in Moldova, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and/or Ukraine will bring solid technical expertise in one or more of the following areas: journalism training and mentoring; new media; youth engagement; media in conflict mitigation; curriculum development; organizational development/sustainability and monitoring and evaluation.

- Direct professional experience in or expert knowledge of traditional and/or new media
- Significant training and mentoring experience
- Experience with professional capacity-building programs for journalists and media outlets, particularly in the CIS
- Expertise in new media and youth engagement strongly desired
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Russian, Romanian, Ukrainian, Armenian, Azeri, or Georgian language skills are highly desired
- Expertise in the region highly desired
