Simone Coxe is a director for The Pluralism Fund in Palo Alto, California. She has been involved in the public benefit sector for over 25 years.
Her philanthropic interests are focused in three areas: women's rights in the Middle East/Central Asia; trusted independent media both nationally and internationally; and education reform in Northern California. As well as serving on the board of The Pluralism Fund, she also serves on the board of the World Affairs Council, and was previously on the board of Palo Alto Partners in Education.
In 1985, Coxe co-founded a public relations firm and served as its CEO until 1998, retiring in 2002. Blanc & Otus provides public relations services to the high technology industry from its offices in San Francisco, Boston, Austin, Atlanta, and London. In 1999, the firm was acquired by Hill and Knowlton, one of the largest public relations firms in the world.
Coxe is an alumnus of Sarah Lawrence College and the University of California, Berkeley.
