Voices of Darfur

UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Mia Farrow joined Internews staff and others to speak on role of the media in Darfur at an event at the Paley Center for Media (formerly Museum of Television and Radio) in New York in May 2007.

The panelists included, Motasim Adam, President, Darfuri People’s Association of New York; Gayle Smith, Senior Fellow, Center for American Progress; George Papagiannis, VP, Director, Darfuri Refugee Radio and Humanitarian Information Service, Internews; Nick Clooney, Journalist; and Mia Farrow, UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. The moderator was Tara Sonenshine, Media Consultant, US Institute of Peace and Internews.
