Key StaffDon AllenVice President for Administration
Don Allen has over 30 years experience in business management and administration, including 14 years managing federal compliance issues. As Internews' Vice President for Administration he serves as the primary administrative contact for funders and subrecipients and oversees all proposal preparation. He interprets and implements federal regulations and policies affecting the organization and is the primary author of Internews' policies governing compliance with these rules. Allen serves on the Advisory Council for Grants/Contracts & Compliance for InsideNGO (formerly APVOFM), a leading association of US development NGOs. He has helped to lead a number of the Association’s highly regarded training seminars in indirect costs, and he is a current member of its working group on the issue of full cost recovery. He holds a BA in English and American Literature. Prior to joining Internews in 1994 he had pursued careers in music (trombone and voice), semiconductor manufacturing (production control), and home building (licensed general contractor). |
