Interview with David Hoffman of Internews 
From Rising Voices, an interview with David Hoffman, founder and president of Internews. In this video David explains how Internews got its start by coordinating a two-way satellite link-up between Soviet youth in Moscow and Americans at the 1982 US Festival sponsored by Apple Computer co-founder Steve Wozniak. He goes on to describe more of the history of the media development field, how funders can both help and hurt, and the role of citizen journalism in media development and civic participation.
Climate Change Media Partnership 
Internews, Panos and IIED have joined forces to support developing world journalism and perspectives from the heart of the international climate negotiations. Over 40 journalists from Asia, Asia-Pacific, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America are participating in a climate change media partnership fellowship programme designed to improve media coverage of climate change issues in developing countries, including reporting on the 2009 Copenhagen Summit.
Earth Journalism Awards

North Coast Visionaries 
Internews is featured in a documentary, "North Coast Visonaries," (5-minute edited version) produced by KEET TV in Humboldt County, CA, that focuses on three local social entrepreneurs. Internews Network President and founder, David Hoffman, and Senior Vice-President for Communications and External Affairs, Annette Makino, discuss how the work of Internews creates healthier communities through the free flow of locally produced, editorially independent information. Funding for the FRONTLINE/World Social Entrepreneurs Series and educational outreach is provided by the PBS Foundation through a grant from the Skoll Foundation.

We are All Gaza 
On January 9, 2009, during the height of the conflict, Internews became the first and only international organization to organize the broadcast of vital information on distribution of food and blankets, safe havens, road closures, medical care, and other humanitarian news to the people of Gaza. Watch a video about the special broadcasts, which currently focus on the fragile ceasefire and reconstruction period and air on three independent radio stations in Hebron and one in Gaza.
Article 19 
Article 19, a video produced by Internews for the Every Human Has Rights Media Awards, emphasizes the importance of Article 19 - Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression - of the Declaration of Human Rights for protecting all human rights.
Price of Silence 
A music video that brings together 16 of the world’s top musicians—some of whom have fled oppressive regimes—in a rousing musical plea to guarantee human rights for all. The video was produced by Link TV, which Internews co-founded. The video played at the Every Human Has Rights ceremony in Paris honoring human rights reporting.
In South Sudan, Community Radio Provides a Voice for the Voiceless 
Since Sudan’s 22-year old civil war ended in 2005, news has been slow in coming to the most remote regions of the country. To provide news and information and give voice to thousands of Sudanese, Internews has built four community radio stations in South Sudan and is training nascent journalists to run them. Internews Radio for Darfur Refugees and Displaced Chadians 
In Chad, Internews has established 3 community radio stations to serve refugees from Darfur and displaced Chadians. Internews trains and supports local Chadian and Sudanese journalists to produce news and informational programming for people living in the camps on topics such as humanitarian relief and womens issues. Internews: Freedom to Make a Difference
Internewsers from around the world share what Internews means to them in this four-minute video, which was shot at an Internews gathering of 102 local leaders and expatriate staff from 32 countries held in Istanbul, Turkey in December 2007.
Kids' Crossroads

The Voices of Darfur 
At an event at the Paley Center for Media (formerly Museum of Television and Radio) in New York in May 2007, George Papagiannis, VP and Director for Internews' Darfuri Refugee Radio and Humanitarian Information Service, presented on Internews' project establishing radio stations and programs for Dafur refugees living in camps in Chad.
Kenya: Blood Safety 
Produced by Sylvia Chebet for Citizen TV in Kenya, a news piece about the need and safety of blood donations. Chebet has been trained and mentored by the Local Voices project in Kenya. Local Voices trains journalists how to report on HIV/AIDS.
Sky Reporter 
Arthur Kent has produced video
stories on the challenges faced by Afghanistan's media that feature
journalist Mirwais Social, formerly the production director for
Internews Network in Afghanistan and currently head of Watander
Radio, a station established by Internews that broadcasts in
Kabul and Herat.
Element 
Element is a new series of programs which aims to bring "big
picture" issues
– climate change, poverty, discrimination – to MTV viewers across
Central & Eastern
Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East. It was launched by The
Element Partnership, in co-operation with leading media partners Television
Trust for the Environment (TVE), Internews Europe and the One World
Broadcasting Trust.
My Dead Husband's Land 
An Internews Network documentary premiered Tuesday, November 28, 2006
on the South African Broadcasting Corporation’s most prestigious
documentary television program, Special Assignment. My
Dead Husband’s Land tells the story of an HIV-positive widow,
Betty Tom, and the transformation of her community on the shores
of Lake Victoria in Kenya. (Short clip from My Dead

The Russians are Coming to Your TV! 
Downtown Community Television Center (DCTV), Internews
Russia and Internews Network teamed up to create a reporting exchange
called The Russians Are Coming. Five of Russia’s most promising
young TV news reporters traveled in August 2006 in the DCTV Cybercar
bus — a 40-foot long high-tech mobile production unit featuring
a Times Square-style video wall on its side. Inside is a state
of the art television studio and master control room. Atop, is
a powerful KU-band satellite dish that can digitally transmit around
the world. In order to learn about the US and in order for Americans
to learn about today’s Russia, the Cybercar and its inquisitive
cargo traveled to seven towns and cities. The reporters created
a 2-minute video summarizing their trip.
Assignment Earth Video 
Former CNN correspondent Gary Strieker has struck out on his own and
formed the non-profit Environment News Trust. Strieker draws upon
his decades of experience to script, shoot, edit and produce a
series, called Assignment
Earth, of 2-4 minute video stories on environmental issues that can
be viewed on the Yahoo News
video site. Internews' Earth Journalism
Network has a strategic partnership with Environment News Trust.
Mosaic: World News from the Middle East 
Produced by Link TV, Mosaic features selections from daily
TV news programs produced by national broadcasters throughout
the Middle East. The news reports are presented unedited and translated,
when necessary, into English. See also, Mosaic

In the Tall Grass 
In the Tall
Grass tells
the story of Rwanda’s search for redemption after genocide as the
country sits down to reckon with the horror in a network of informal,
community courts called gacaca. Internews Network provided consulting
and financial administration for the award-winning film.
Children's
Rights in the Congo 
In 2003, Internews produced two videos to raise awareness of the
plight of Congolese children accused of witchcraft. One was a documentary, "Enfant
Dit Sorcier" ("Child
Accused of Being a Witch") that was presented
at a Kinshasa workshop for 150 local media professionals, to encourage
them to address the problem objectively.
The second was a music
video,
featuring the musicians
of L'Orchestre Lachytoura. The videos were part of a project
funded by the United States Agency for International Development
and was filmed, directed and produced by Angela Nicoara, former
Internews Rwanda Country Director, and Mike Ormsby, former Internews
DRC Project Director. The music video was co-funded by Search for
Common Ground.

Chad: Humanitarian Information Service 
Starting in 2005, Internews has built three community radio stations along the Chad-Sudan border and trained local journalists to run them The stations allow Darfur refugees and displaced Chadians to hear and produce news that directly affects their survival, including information on security, food rations, and water distribution; news on their home areas; and special programming on women’s issues. Internews is making these radio programs available to the Sudanese diaspora and any other organizations that would like to re-broadcast them.
Kenya's Fragile Press 
Ida Jooste, Internews Resident Advisor for Kenya, was interviewed by NPR's On the Media on February 8, 2008 about restrictions on the press in the midst of violence following the disputed presidential election.
Voices of Reconciliation - Sri Lanka 
Lifeline provides essential humanitarian information to communities affected by the conflict or by natural disasters.With a strong emphasis on including the voices of displaced communities, Lifeline also focuses on health, education, gender issues, child protection, and other areas impacting on people's lives. Lifeline is broadcast in Tamil and produced by Internews Network, under the umbrella of the Confidence-Building and Stabilisation Measures framework signed between the Government of Sri Lanka and the UNHCR.
Refugees from Darfur 
Internews VP for Government Relations George Papagiannis discussed Internews'
humanitarian information project in eastern Chad, which provides radio
programming produced by and for refugees from Darfur as well as the local
population, on KPFA San Francisco's Sunday Morning with Peter Laufer
on June 17.
Voices of Tsunami Survivors 
Audio from the Internews-supported radio programs produced for survivors
of the SE Asian tsunami – people in Aceh share their experiences
on life after the tsunami, from the destruction they saw, to how
they are dealing with the many changes in their lives, and the
difficult decisions they now face. The audio is available on the
web site of the UN
Office of the Special Envoy for Tsunami Recovery.
MEDIAIDS India 
From Internews Europe, a sample of one of a dozen jingles in Tamil
and English that were produced by trainees from the MediaAIDS
India project. The jingles focused on living positively with HIV
anti-retroviral therapy, on Voluntary Confidential Counselling
and HIV testing (VCTT), safer sex and positive attitudes about
people/children living with HIV.

A multimedia presentation about Internews' work rebuilding

December 2004 tsunami devastated parts of Southeast Asia.
Rwanda: Justice After Genocide
