The Clinton Global Initiative is an invitation only, non-partisan endeavor, bringing together a carefully selected group of the world’s best problem solvers from a wide variety of political, ideological, religious, ethnic, and geographic backgrounds — including current and former heads of state, top business executives, preeminent scholars, and representatives of key non-governmental organizations — to devise and implement innovative solutions to some of the world's most pressing challenges. This year Bill Gates, First Lady Laura Bush, French President Jacques Chirac, Rupert Murdoch, Richard Branson, Warren Buffett, and hundreds of other leaders will be joining President Clinton to discuss the four focus areas of the meeting: Poverty Alleviation; Religious & Ethnic Conflict Reconciliation; Global Energy Solutions; and Global Public Health.
