Court hears petition, promises decision tomorrow

On 20 June at 16:00 the Golovinskii regional court of Moscow held a hearing on the petition filed by the Educated Media Foundation on the illegality of the seizure by investigators of all the documentation and electronic data storage, as a result of which the Foundation's work became impossible to continue. The decision of the judge is to be announced 21 July at 12:00 noon (Moscow time).

We remind you that 18 April personnel from the department of economic crimes of the Ministry of Internal Affairs seized from the office of our organization all financial-administrative documents and computer servers. The Foundation filed a complaint with the court concerning the illegal and baseless actions of the investigators. At the same time the founders of Educated Media filed a motion with the General Prosecutor of the Russian Federation and the investigative branch of teh Ministry of Internal Affairs requesting that the seized documents and computers be returned.
