Twenty Years of Democracy and Governance Programs in Europe and Eurasia
The Bureau for Europe and Eurasia in the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in cooperation with the International Development Studies Program and Institute of European, Russian, and Eurasia Studies at the George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs held a one-day event marking 20 years in Europe and Eurasia.
Internews President Jeanne Bourgault presented at the event, which took stock of efforts and outcomes in promoting democracy, human rights and democratic governance in Europe and Eurasia since the collapse of the Soviet Union and the communist bloc.
