Supporting Internews

Individual contributions to Internews play a critical role in our work.

We need support from foundations and individual donors like you for three major reasons: innovation, rapid response and leverage.

Much of what you read about on this web site and in our newsletters, the cutting edge media and information innovations we’re testing, are pilot projects made possible through the support of donors like you.

Your contributions seed this innovation and increase our ability to provide a critically important "rapid response" capacity to act immediately on an area of need. In humanitarian crises, we are able to step in and address communications issues most aid agencies overlook, often in the first crucial weeks following a disaster.

Finally, private contributions help leverage public funding for Internews' work around the world. Private support matters not just because of the material contributions that fund our project but because of the important message it sends to policymakers. When Internews can commit to share or even match public awards with private contributions, it sends a message to USAID, the State Department and even Congress that this kind of work matters to, and is supported by, the American people.

We at Internews believe strongly in our work and its impact on communities across the globe.  Information matters. Media matters. It brings us together. It helps communities solve problems. For all these reasons and more, we hope you'll partner with Internews by making your donation today.
