"I am addressing all the deaf citizens of Ukraine. Don't believe what they [authorities] say. They are lying." Natalia Dmitrjuk, the sign-language interpreter during a Ukrainian TV broadcast reporting that Prime Minister Victor Yanukovich had won the presidential election. Dmitruk joined more than 200 of her UT-1 colleagues in a strike against state control over news coverage. |
