Community Media AssociationThe Community Media Conference brings together broadcasters, producers, community developers, publishers, media enthusiasts, creatives and academics for a day of learning, exchange, and celebration with inspiring speakers, workshops and networking opportunities.

The theme of this year’s Conference is ‘Voices in a Changing World’ and we will be exploring how community media stays relevant and responsive to global events that impact at a local level, and how diverse voices and viewpoints strengthen communities for positive social benefit.

Sauossen Ben Cheikh of Internews is going to be on a panel discussion at 10:40 called Voices for Change that will look at the role of community media in a changing world; how we give a voice to diverse communities; how we respond to world events and how they affect our local communities; and what is the role of community media in the media landscape.
